  • SVCS Conducts Water Test

    The Stockbridge Valley Central School District recently completed a water test for lead. All samples tested were below the School Lead Action Level of .020 mg/L.

    Madison-Oneida BOCES New York State Full Day Pre-Kindergarten Program is a high quality Early Childhood Education Program for eligible children who will be 4 years of age on or before December 1, 2016.

  • SVCS Welcomes New High School Principal

    Stockbridge Valley CSD is happy to announce the appointment of Mr. Steve Stechyshyn as the 7 – 12 Principal. Mr. Stechyshyn was appointed to this position at the May 17 Board of Education meeting. He will begin his tenure at Stockbridge Valley on July 5, 2016. Mr. Stechyshyn is a native of Oneida. He attended college at Utica College where he achieved a B.S. in Marketing. He went on to SUNY Oswego to complete a degree in education. His teaching certificates are in Social Studies and Business. In 2005, Mr. Stechyshyn completed his Certification in Administration. Mr. Stechyshyn taught in Skaneateles CSD for 19 years before he accepted his first administrative position in Central Square CSD in 2014 as an Assistant High School Principal. Mr. Stechyshyn comes highly recommended and highly motivated. We are excited to have Mr. Stechyshyn join our team. His experience will be an asset to SVCS as we strive to offer our students the very best educational opportunities.

  • FFA Students Excel at Sub-State Career Development Competition

    Several SVCS FFA students have been selected to compete at the NYS FFA Competition based upon exceptional performances at the April 2nd Sub-state competition.

  • 20 MPH WILL BE ENFORCED ON SCHOOL ROAD

    In the interest of safety for the students, staff and faculty, law enforcement has been asked to enforce the 20 mph speed limit on the SVCS roadway.
